My massage practice would not exist without the people who give me the opportunity to work with them. Massage is a great tool for improving your quality of life. It can help reduce pain and improve recovery from injury and surgery. But don’t take my word for; I’m kind of biased.

Instead, read the stories from colleagues who refer to me and some of my clients. I’m grateful to have had the chance to work with so many great people. I’m really honored when they keep coming back!

The pain and numbness in my right hand [not good for an artist] along with reduced flexibility in my left shoulder led me to Marsha to find out if the “Soft Tissue Detective” could help me. I have been seeking help with these problems for the last 12 years and while treatments have reduced the pain temporarily, I was starting to lose hope that I would ever be free of these symptoms. After several visits with Marsha she suggested I add chiropractic care to my treatment plan. I met with Dr. Yogerst and Dr. Levy. They came up with a schedule plan that included evaluation points to make sure we were making progress. I had a feeling that things would be different this time.

A few weeks [early June 2009] later I was driving to my appointment. When I turned my head to pass a car, I realized I could see out the back window of my station wagon. It took me by total surprise. I had to look again because I didn’t believe what I was seeing. I have been driving for over 30 years and I have never been able to see out the back window of a car. I raised my two children without being able to look at them in the back seat. I just never knew it was possible. By the time I made it to my appointment I was laughing and crying because I was so overwhelmed with the realization that I have lived the last 30 years without full mobility of my head. What have I missed all these years? How long has it really been?

That was a few weeks ago. Since then the pain and numbness in my hand is about 75% gone. I no longer wake up in the middle of the night with my arm aching. I have increased mobility in my left shoulder and I am loving the way I can move my head. I am like a kid with a new toy. I keep testing it to see what it can do! I owe all of this to the fabulous treatment and team effort of Marsha Hansen, Dr. Yogerst, and Dr. Levy. I am only about 1/3 of the way through my treatment plan and I can hardly wait to see what’s going to happen next. Maybe I’ll be able to hold my hands behind my back like everyone else in yoga? It could happen!

If I can share my story with others that have been feeling hopeless and on the verge of accepting limited mobility and pain as part of the aging process, please pass it on. I am so glad I was intrigued by Marsha’s business name. She certainly is the “Soft Tissue Detective” and she solved a decades old problem for me.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
