About

Marsha Hansen, LMT

With an affinity for science and instincts for healing touch, massage was a natural transition after receiving my BS in biology in 1991. I trained for massage with over 750 hours of credits at the Florida School of Massage in 1994. Since then, I have been Nationally Certified and am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. To practice massage in Portland I earned my Oregon license (#7662) in May 2001, which allowed me to open the doors to Bridgetown Therapeutic Massage in Portland, Oregon.

Bridgetown Therapeutic Massage

I fell in love with Portland immediately and was struck by the many nicknames the city has. One of them, Bridgetown, appealed to me as an appropriate business name. As the bridges connect us from one part of the city to another, therapeutic massage has a powerful way of connecting mind and body.

At Bridgetown Therapeutic Massage you receive more than a great massage. Each person is given the opportunity to be an advocate for his or her own health. I regard communication as a key to providing you the best personalized treatment and will discuss your session goals before and after the massage. Each client is special, each session unique.

As my practice has grown and evolved so have my skills and passion. I find it very rewarding to work with people who want to recover from pain, especially pain due to injury, surgery or other physical trauma. Each year I take continuing education classes that allow me to hone the skills and talents I need to serve this community with compassion, respect, and effective treatments. Having a toolbox with a collection of diverse techniques and perspectives allows me the opportunity to work with and help a diverse population.
